Contrary to popular opinion our Canadian Banks do want your Internet business to succeed and they are prepared to help you by authorizing you to use your existing merchant accounts to process sales from your web site. 

However, they do have some rules. 

  • They want to be assured that you are not collecting, storing or saving credit card information on your web site

  • That your web site will only be used for advertising and promoting your products, and storing marketing information

  • That you are not sending private information over un-encrypted e-mail.
